The Zanesville Times Recorder on August 6, 1966, wrote, "Zanesville's WHIZ radio announced Friday that it would jump on the Beatles 'Ban Wagon' along with scores of other radio stations throughout the country."
The Times-Recorder updated on August 14, 1966: "Several city teen-agers protested the banning of the rock and roll singing group, the 'Beatles,' by WHIZ Radio."
