This website is an attempt to document every radio station that banned The Beatles in the wake of the 1966 "more popular than Jesus" controversy.
It's researched and written by Beatle Mike, who has written articles about The Beatles as well as hosted radio shows playing the music of The Fab Four since 1985.
Mike has been fortunate enough to once ask a question to preeminent Beatles researcher and biographer Mark Lewisohn. He inspired Squeeze's Glenn Tilbrook to add a "Hey Jude" coda to "If I Didn't Love You" in a 2012 performance. And he fondly remembers giving a Beatles button to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy author Douglas Adams as a gift in 1988.
