WMGR may have burned The Beatles!
In a UPI report as printed in the Columbus Enquirer on August 6, 1966, "In Bainbridge, a local minister joined the local disc jockeys in their plans to burn Beatle records. The Rev. Charles Bishop, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, announced he would hold a 'Beatle burning' of records. Disc jockeys Glynn Williams, Wayne Powell and Roy Simpson of Bainbridge station WMGR said they would supply the pastor with 14 albums of Beatle records to burn."
It's unknown if this was an official WMGR action or something the DJs did on their own.
