The Atlanta Constitution reported on August 6, 1966, "The stations, WAYX in Waycross, WTIF in Tifton and WOGA in Sylvester, announced 'Beatle bonfires' in the near future."

Georgia's Columbus Enquirer added the same day, "Tifton radio station WTIF announced it would burn its Beatles recordings next Friday night at a 'Beatle bonfire' in front of the station." 

(While evidence specifically of a ban has not yet been found, it is unlikely that a station would burn all of its Beatles records without having a ban.)

WTIF stopped broadcasting on July 6, 2022.
